Maarten Steinbuch vertelt op het Klimaatplein webinar 'Dít willen ondernemers weten over CO2-neutraal ondernemen' alles over elektrisch vervoer, de trends en ontwikkelingen, ook voor vrachtvervoer.

10. Local storage
Assume 1000 cycles lifetime (after that 80% capacity left)
Price: assume 500 €/kWh (and dropping…) for electric batteries
Assume 50% loss of value after 1000 cycles
That is 250 €/kWh for 1000 cycles is 0,25 euro/kWh
i.e. no business case yet
For car OEMs: price is dropping below 100$/kWh (pack level)
11. The six mistakes in vehicle emission
comparisons
1. Exaggerate GHG emissions of battery production - 40 to 100 g/kWh
2. Underestimate battery lifetime - 500.000+ km for current day batteries
3. Ignoring trends in electricity production - 250 g CO2eq/kWh over lifetime
4. Use of inaccurate (paid) emission tests - use independent test measurements
5. Downplay fuel emission productions - add 20-30% to tailpipe emissions
6. Failing to recognize system improvements - whole supply chain improving

13. Vehicle electrification
• Full-electric car market share is growing fast
• Same holds for electric buses
• Electrified trucks are next…!

18. Heavy Duty Electrification
• Energy efficiency Medium-duty : 1.0 kWh/km, Heavy-duty :
1.5-1.8 kWh/km
• Battery mass for a required range 500 km range: 5700 kg (old
powertrain is appr. 3000kg), i.e. 1000 kWh needed
• Charging: up to 4MW, stationary batteries, local storage,
30min charging time
• Economy: benefical for EV
