On 23rd June, we said a fond farewell to Year 11 students. Staff and students attended a special
Leavers’ assembly in the drama hall organised by behaviour team members Mr Walker and Mr
Phillips.
During the assembly, the students took a trip down memory lane and viewed footage of their
time at the Academy over the past 5 years. To round off the assembly touching messages from
students Connor Campbell and Zacharia Ul-Din, while Mr Walker and Mr Phillips gave
inspirational speeches. Students Aisha, Etse and Idrees reflected on their hightlights at the
Academy, how they are feeling leaving MCA and what their plans are for the future.
Aisha: "I enjoyed the relationships I had with the the teachers, and now that I am leaving I wish I
would have realized this before."
Etse: "The best hightlight is dancing in school performances, featuring in showcases and music
exams. I enjoyed meeting new people, MCA is more like a family to me now"
Idrees: "I'm feeling sad knowing that I won't be able to see some people but at the same time
glad that I can be independent. I'm hoping to go to college and learn mechcanical engineering."
From everyone at the Academy, we would like to wish them the best all luck in all of their exams
and for the future.
