To Whom It May Concern,
I am a junior at the University of Texas at Tyler majoring in Psychology and I am interested in obtaining
a part time job in a field related to psychology or neuropsychology. I feel that working in an entry level
position in a company such as yours will allow me to gain experience in a real world environment. My
ultimate goal is to work with patients in a clinical setting who have sustained brain injuries and diagnose
and treat individuals experiencing brain dysfunction, disease or damage.
Academically, my course work in the Psychology Department at the University of Texas at Tyler has
allowed me to gain a broad understanding and appreciation for opportunities in the Psychology field. Now
I feelthe next step is to gain practical work experience to help me determine where I need to focus before
moving on to a Master’s program in two years.
My previous work experience as a student worker at the university and as a summer nanny have provided
me with a strong base of interpersonal and communication skills, allowed me to develop the ability to
multitask, and taught me to work quickly and efficiently on the tasks at hand.
