Kathryn B. Creedy established Aviation Today’s industry leadership by covering untold stories in the
business and commercial aviation industry during her tenure as Managing Editor of Aviation Today. Her
work covered changes to the US airline business model in the wake of an historic recession for the first
time. In doing so, Kathryn increased recognition of our publications as reliable sources.
Kathryn is highly adaptable, accomplishing the difficult transition of Aviation Today publications from
hard copy to an on-line format, quickly mastering the Content Management System and training others in
its use. Her work on our publications and webcast channel established in my mind what a multi-talented,
creative, dedicated and dependable team player she is. She is a joy to work with and she significantly eased
my burden as publisher.
Susan Ogden, Domestic Adoption Director (Ret.), Adoptions Together
As Executive Director of Institute for Adoption Information (IAI), Kathryn was instrumental in raising
awareness of issues related to adoptive families with educators, health care professionals and journalists.
IAI identified a void in adoption literature and published books targeted at those who encounter adoption in
their work. She developed and executed a communications plan for these books that prompted coverage in
important metropolitan dailies including The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post,
The New York Times and USA Today.
Kathryn identified a societal shift in families, developing a strategy that put adoption into context with
other non-traditional families who had similar issues. This led to significant changes in how educators and
health care professionals treat non-traditional family members. Her work was included in the two books
she co-authored with me (An Educator’s Guide to Adoption and A Guide to Adoption for Health Care and
Counseling Professionals) as well as A Journalist’s Guide to Adoption, which she co-authored with other
media professionals.
