PRODUCT FACTS
The Standard offers 3(16) fiduciary protection on these 4 key administrative services:
Compliance testing
Enrollment eligibility determination and notification
Approval and management of loans, distributions, QDRO Approvals and
hardship withdrawals
Fulfillment of required participant notices
PLAN REQUIREMENTS
The plan document must be prepared by The Standard
The Standard must perform full administration including compliance testing and
Form 5500
The employer must provide a payroll file containing all required data for all
employees
The Standard will not act as a 3(16) fiduciary on a Recordkeeping Only (RKO) plan.
An RKO plan typically provides their own plan document and The Standard cannot
be a fiduciary on plans where we do not provide plan document services.
Additionally, Standard does not exert enough control over RKO plans for us to
take on that responsibility.
