IULAA 2015 Election
A word from Alice Jordan‐Miles
Dear valued alumni,
Your input today is vital to leading
our 10,000 alumni. We're inviting you
to get involved in the governance of
the IULAA by rolling up your sleeves
and volunteering your time, talent,
treasure, and testimony! This is an
effective way to help students and
fellow alumni realize and attain their
dreams. Our 2015 IULAA election is a
viable opportunity for our members to
chart the direction of our association.
We pride ourselves in the leadership
that has sustained the IULAA for the past 15 years and we need
you to help us continue up that path!
Now is the time to nominate new talent for the IULAA leadership
team or even nominate yourself! Hard work and dedication is
valued, so if you feel you've shown these qualities, add your own
name to the nominations. It is our goal and desire to bring future
leaders into our organization and into the IU Alumni Family.
Please submit your nominations to: latinoaa@indiana.edu. We
also welcome resumes and letters of intent.
As a courtesy, please ensure that your nominee will accept a
board or committee position if appointed.
We can't wait to hear from you! Don't underestimate the
influence you can have on our organization. Your voice matters!

Election Process
& Timeline
1. Notice of elections and call for
nominations sent via electronic
means to all regular members
2. Nomination period open for
nominations (15 days)
3. Nomination period closes as
specified in initial election notice.
4. IUAA Relations Office verifies
eligibility of all nominated
candidates
5. Election of officers takes place
at the IULAA annual meeting, or at
a special election meeting. Those
not in attendance can vote by
electronic ballot sent via email.
6. President and IUAA Relations
Office are responsible for
communicating results of the
elections by electronic means
(by December 15)
7. Officers take office beginning of
next calendar year (January 1)
