Kate Hislop joined the Company to work on the Motor Yacht Rum Jungle at the beginning of June
2014 and has worked here until her planned departure in October 2014.
Rum Jungle is a full time charter yacht operating primarily in the UK, see www.rumjungle.co.uk. It
has a very busy program of corporate charter, taking up to 40 guests our each day for a very high end
and bespoke experience. We also do an amount of term charter with guests staying overnight.
She started as stewardess and, through learning the role quickly, intelligence and personality was
rapidly promoted to Senior Stewardess when this role became vacant. This included the ‘front of
house’ meeting and greeting, liaising with the guest party and coordinating the day with the rest of the
crew of eight.
Kate worked cheerfully and very hard throughout this time and we can thoroughly recommend her to a
yacht that can stretch her capability and experience.
She is leaving with our best wishes and we would re-employ her at any time if she ever wanted to
come back to our sort of work again.
