PERSONAL INVOLVMENT WITH MELANOMA
Our son, Billy was diagnosed with malignant melanoma at the age of 20 (misdiagnosed at the age of 19)
and died at the young age of 22, March 2, 1994. The experience we, as a family went through during his
illness; the lack of viable treatments; the horrendous fight to get ANY type of treatment for him led me to
start the foundation in his memory and to assure that no other family will have to go through what we
endured during that black time.
