In brief
I am studying Journalism & Media Studies and working to be an outstanding writer
who incorporates diverse styles of writing. I enjoy creative (artistic) writing, from
African literature to journalism and current affairs. I am mainly influenced by history,
human rights and social justice. Blogging and online papers keep me ‘on edge’, and
constant reading of literature to refine my writing style and find my voice as a creative
writer. Conceptualising ideas and creativity are my strongest points.
Work experience
January 2016 – present, Writer/ researcher, Frontier Consulting.
As an intern, and later freelance writer, I supported the analysis of the United Nations
Development Programme’s work on conflict analysis, conflict sensitivity and social
cohesion globally. This involved doing background research and analysis on places such
as Libya, Bangladesh, Mali, Papua New Guinea and Southern Thailand. My tasks
involved researching the context in particular countries, taking notes during interviews,
taking a lead on drafting case studies, entering data into Word and excel and generally
supporting the conceptualising and drafting analysis.
2014 - present, Blogging / online writing.
