1. Abstract:
Noise, vibration and Harshness is an important Engineering Technology
especially in Automotive, it Predict and Controls the vibration and Noises
for better occupant comfort. Today, the interior noise perceived by the
occupants is an important factor in the design of automotive interior
assemblies. Buzz, Squeak and Rattle (BSR) is a major contributor
towards the perceived noise of annoyance to the vehicle occupants. An
automotive vehicle consists of many assemblies such as instrumentation
panel, doors, sun-roof, deck lids, hood, etc. which are the potential
sources of BSR noise. An extensive study is made regarding the overall
structural behavior as well as their interaction under typical road loads to
come up with enhanced design for improved quality from the BSR noise
perspective. Hybrid electric vehicles, for instance have signficantly quiter
engines but the noise generated by poor door seals or vibrating parts is no
longer marked. To avoid this Foams are good material. Foams reduce
Buzz, squeak and Rattle (BSR) and provide improved NVH
characteristics. The simulation of these foams with Statistical Energy
Analysis(SEA) gives Prediction of interior Noise of vehicle.
In a Automotive vehicle, The engine ,Powertrain, tyre
road intraction and wind noise are the Major sources. The prediction and
control of Noise and vibrations are two impartant fctors in
vehicle.Transfer Path Analysis(TPA) is NVH tool to identify which path
we are getting more noise and vibrations. The vibrations and Noise in
engine because of improper construction, Unbalnce and due high
combustion forces. So if we want reduce noise and vibrations we need to
use daignosis tools and Design analysis tools like Transfer path
analysis(TPA),BSR technology,and Statistical Energy Analysis(SEA).
Key words: Interior Noise, Buzz,Squeak,Rattle(BSR),Transfer Path
Analysis(TPA) and Statistical Energy Analysis(SEA).
