A 40-year-old man named John still lives with his parents and plays Star Wars video games. He hears Darth Vader's voice telling him to get a job and move out. John obeys and goes on Monster.com to search for jobs. It is revealed that John's father was pretending to be Darth Vader speaking through a fan at the window to motivate John to become independent. A voiceover concludes that Monster.com can help people find jobs or join the Sith, playing on John's situation.

name plate (John). Camera focuses on 40 year old man playing Star Wars
video game with headset on.
DARTH VADER’S VOICE
John, join me.
John pauses the video game and stands up looking in wonder at the
ceiling, as if Vader’s voice is coming from above.
JOHN
Yes Lord Vader. I’ve been waiting for you.
DARTH VADER’S VOICE
First you must get a job, and move out of your parent’s house.
You’re 40 years old for Christ sakes.
JOHN
Yes my Sith Lord. Your wish is my command.
John jumps on his computer and goes to Monster.com

2. EXT. OUTSIDE JOHN’S WINDOW – NIGHT
John’s father is on a ladder. His mother is holding the ladder at its
base. John’s father looks down at his wife.
JOHN’S FATHER
Honey, it worked.
JOHN’S MOTHER
Don’t let him know it’s you.
John’s father puts his face close to the window fan and starts to
speak into it.
JOHN’S FATHER (DARTH VADER VOICE FROM SPEAKING INTO THE FAN)
John, I’m not your father.
JOHN
I know. My dad’s a dick.
