MEMBERSDear friends and colleagues,
It is my utmost pleasure to welcome you to the 4th Annual Bioplasma World Asia 2015, which will
be held in Shanghai, China from 1-3 Sep 2015. PPTA is very pleased to be a co-organiser for this
event.
Over 30 world-class speakers will be present to share their experiences and knowledge at this
event. Together, we will embrace the great opportunity to promote innovation and development for
plasma protein therapies in both the developing and developed world to further adequate supply of
high quality plasma protein therapeutics for the world’s population.
Being part of the bioplasma industry gives each of us the ability to make a positive impact on the
lives of millions of people that we will probably never meet in person. The availability of plasma
protein therapies has improved AND SAVED the lives of many persons with for example hemophilia
or immune deficiencies .
While our work has already positively influenced many lives, we should not forget that only one third
of the persons with hemophilia in the world have access to a treatment. Unfortunately the resources
in many developing countries are limited. Together, we can work to improve this situation. I strongly
encourage you to be part of the Bioplasma World Asia 2015. We welcome patients, public health
professionals, regulators, NGOs, plasma fractionators, academics and other related stakeholders
to be part of this global event.
The conference will focus on the newest clinical developments, latest success strategies for plas-
ma collection, fractionation, quality & safety management in Asia and other parts of the world. The
underlying goals of the conference are to increase access to all life saving plasma protein therapies
and work together to find a sustainable solution for combating haemophilia, immunedeficiency and
other life threatening diseases to give persons with these disorders a chance for a more normal life.
I am looking forward to seeing you next September in Shanghai, sharing and exchanging
exciting new ideas to stimulate further development of the plasma protein industry.

PLANNING YOUR TRIP:
DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL
A hotel limousine is available to take you from the
airport to the hotel. The limousine ride takes about
45 minutes and should be booked in advance with
the concierge or reservation department. The price
is RMB 650 for one way from Pudong airport and
RMB 450 from Honqiao Airport. Otherwise, guests
can take a taxi which costs approximately RMB 150
from Pudong airport and RMB 100 from Hongqiao
airport.
If you wish to try the high speed train ‘Maglev’ it
takes you from Pudong Airport in seven and a half
minutes to the Long Yang Road station and the
charge is RMB 50.00. It is available from 7am-9pm.
From there you can take a taxi to the hotel
(approximately RMB 25). The airport shuttle line
number 6 also passes by the hotel and is available
from 5am to 11pm which costs RMB 15 one way
and takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes.
