Workstation usingaDell T3500, R5400, or R5500 machine.
Emerson T3500 and R5400 Quad Workstations
The T3500 andR5400 Emersonworkstations are bothsupportedas DeltaV QuadMonitorworkstations.TwoATIFireGL
V3750 256MB graphicscards are installed. A T3500-basedworkstation receivedafterNovember2011 comeswithone or
twoATI FireProV4800 1GB graphicscards. Each videocard providesone DVIandtwoDisplayPort(DP) outputs.
Note There are no direct-connectVGA outputsavailableonthe ATIFireGLV3750 andthe ATIFirePro
V4800.
WhenpurchaseddirectlyfromEmerson,the DeltaV QuadMonitorWorkstationpackage includestwoDP-to-DVI
adaptorsand two DVI-to-VGA adaptors. A quad-monitorworkstationsetupusing fourVGA outputscanalsobe
supportedusingtwo DVI-to-VGA adaptorsandtwo DP-to-VGA adaptors. The DP-to-VGA adaptorsmustbe purchased
separatelytoachieve thistype of configuration.
2. Note The onlyDP-to-VGA adaptortestedforuse withaDeltaV QuadMonitorworkstationisthe BizLinkor
StarTechDP2VGA DisplayPorttoVGA adapter(Dell Part#A2463638). The use of any otheradaptor may
resultinunpredictablesystembehaviorsuchaslossof screenresolutionsettingsaftera workstation
reboot.

The middle DPport should notbe used.
Use the includedDP-to-DVIadaptorstoachieve all DVIoutputs.
Use the includedDVI-to-VGA adaptorsandthe supportedDP-to-VGA adaptorstoachieve all VGA
outputs.DP-to-DVIadaptorscannotbe usedwithDVI-to-VGA adaptorsdue toincompatible pinouts.
Powerdownthe workstationbeforeconnectingthe monitors.Thiswouldensure propermonitor
assignmentuponstartupof the workstation.
Emerson R5500 Quad Workstations
5. The R5500-based platform isthe latestEmerson workstation supportedas aDeltaV QuadMonitorworkstation. TwoATI
FirePro2270 graphicscards are installed.Eachvideo cardshipswithaDS59 to dual DVI‘Y cable’assembly.
Note There are no direct-connectDVIorVGA outputsavailable onthe ATIFirePro2270.
RecommendedSetupfor R5500 with Windows7 and Windows XP:

Thisis the BackPanel Picture foranR5500 with a Quad-monitorsetup.Notice thatthere are twoports.
As such,R5500 systemswith aQuad-MonitorSetuphave 2 piecesof Y connectorsthatcome withthe package.
Please note thatthe white connectorslabeled “1”isfor monitor2 or 4, while those labeled “2”is formonitor1 or 3.
