2. Screening and Vaccination
◦ Facilities must establish systems to ensure that
staff, new recruits, other clinical personnel,
including locums, and health care students are
assessed, screened and vaccinated against the
infectious diseases.
◦ It is the responsibilities of the HOD’s to make
sure that all of the staff under his or her
department is screened and vaccinated.
◦ Its is the responsibilities of all Dallah staff to
follow and comply the screening and
vaccination policy.
3. All new employee must:
All Dallah KJO Healthcare personnel (HCP)
will be screened for Hepatitis Profile
(HBsAg, AntiHbs, HCV and HIV test.
Repeat screening every 1 year from HDU
department and every 2 years to all
clinical areas.
Non-medical, not needed for repeat
unless needed.
4. Vaccination
◦ No vaccination for HCV and HIV until now is
discovered.
◦ If the titer of Hepatitis B is lower than 10
mlU/ml or 0, 3 vaccination series must be
started.
◦ If the staff refused for vaccination, secure IC
FRM 21,3 REFUSAL FOR VACCINATION.pdf if
agree.
◦ Schedule of vaccination is 0-1-6 mos.
◦ Engerex B – 2ug
5. Cont.
1-2 mos. After the last dose of vaccine.
Screening will be done to check the presence of
antibodies. If still lower than 10mlU/ml or 0 a
second series of vaccination will be schedule and
after 1-2 mos, re-check for antibodies,
If still there is no presence of antibodies, a staff
will be labeled (Non-Responders) and possible
transfer of department if needed.
If the titer is over 10mlU/ml after 1 or 2 series of
vaccination. Repeat screening will be done yearly
for HDU and every 2 years for clinical staff.

If the titer is over 10mlU/ml after 1 or 2 series of
vaccination. Repeat screening will be done yearly
for HDU and every 2 years for clinical staff.
A mandatory 2 dose (1-6) vaccine for kitchen
staff.
Non-mandatory influenza vaccine is offered to all
Dallah staff every year (September-October)

8. Additional Mandatory Pre Employment MRSA
Screening (Nostril and Throat):
◦ ER
◦ HDU
◦ ICU
◦ OR
◦ NICU
◦ OR and all OR Users
◦ Repeat – None (if Needed)
If the staff becomes positive, the staff will be referred to EHC to
receive the medications for 5 days and 3 clear repeat screening must
be secure to declare the staff is cleared from organism. If either 1-2-
3 repeat is positive. Back to zero treatment.
9. Additional Pre Employment MRSA
Screening (Nostril, Throat and Fingers)
◦ All kitchen staff
◦ Repeat every 6 months
If the staff becomes positive, the staff will be referred to EHC to
receive the medications for 5 days and 3 clear repeat screening
must be secure to declare the staff is cleared from organism. If
either 1-2-3 repeat is positive. Back to zero treatment.
10. Additional Pre Employment Screening
Stool, Hepatitis A:
◦ All kitchen staff
◦ If positive with organism in stool, the staff will
be referred to EHC to start the treatment and
assigned in different areas or excluded from
work if needed.
◦ If positive with Hepatitis A virus, the staff will
be referred to EHC to start the treatment and
assigned in different areas or excluded from
work if needed.
◦ Repeat of screening will be done until cleared.
11. Non Compliance
◦ Non-compliance staff will be issued with NCR
and will be highlighted in KPI
◦ A quarterly schedule for Screening and
Vaccinations is sent every month by the ICP
thru Outlook to all concerned department.
