The past 11 years with Caterpillar have provided dozens of challenging and rewarding experiences, but
I’m now on a quest to join a new highly motivated product development and/or manufacturing team
that values hands on research and hi-tech validation. I am dedicated to finding a fast paced project or
team leadership position in the front range of Colorado where I can apply my design, 6 Sigma, product
development, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills to push your team to the next level.
My time as a CPI 6 Sigma Black Belt provided invaluable insight into the arena of product quality and
customer support. While resolving our most complex product quality issues, I developed a reputation for
excellent teamwork and inspirational leadership. Combined with my enthusiasm for tackling big projects
I had just what it took to succeed in my next adventure… 3,800 miles away in England! It was exciting
to explore Europe while inventing patent pending control logic for some unique product and customer
application features. In addition I was able to hone the organizational and team building skills I needed
to successfully lead 5 engineers in designing, building, and validating the proprietary axle solutions for
the Articulated Truck product line.
Upon repatriation I joined the Global Mining Product Support group in support of Caterpillar’s 2011
acquisition of Bucyrus. From day one the new products were painted Cat yellow, but that iconic color
sets high expectations regarding customer support. The typical rebuild manuals, spare parts, and
training modules were few and far between, and I learned first-hand that customers and dealers were
frustrated and growing impatient. By mentoring and leading projects for the surface drills group I am
quickly developing the aftermarket repair options, technical support, and training to ensure customer
success.
