PTMG acts on behalf of its member
participants to offer discounts and
service levels that would be unattaina-
ble by an individual practice. By ag-
gregating the purchasing volume of
member participants, the association
is able to negotiate volume discounts
that save money for all members re-
gardless of their company size
The vendors participating have been
thoroughly reviewed and vetted by
PTMG to assist members of the asso-
ciation in accessing high quality prod-
ucts through streamlined processes
while obtaining value typically re-
served for high volume purchasers.
PTMG is available during the transi-
tion for assistance and throughout
the relationship for quality assurance.
This service is available to both large

PT Management Group was created by
two individuals who have a passion for
this industry and a desire to pass on some
of the lessons they learned the hard way.
Josh Bailey, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS,
CPed, has been a physi-
cal therapist for 18
years. He is currently
the President and CEO
of Rehab Associates of
Central Virginia and
actively involved in
VPTA. PTMG grew out of Josh’s hope to
see all independent PT groups in Virginia
succeed.
Jessica Wright, MBA, has worked in the
outpatient physical therapy
field for 9 years. She is
currently the COO of
Rehab Associates of Cen-
tral Virginia and is a Certi-
fied Physical Therapy Ad-
ministrator through PPS
APTA. PTMG grew out of Jessica’s love
of process improvement and spread-
sheets.
Core Services
Core services that members must utilize
through the association include medical sup-
plies and office supplies. The participating
vendors have been carefully selected to pro-
vide services throughout the state of Virginia
in a timely manner and will provide an easy
to use ordering process with local administra-
tive oversight as desired. A basic administra-
tive fee of 3% is paid to the practice associa-
tion each month. Over 2000 vendors will be
participating in these contracts so the reach
for quality and cost saving are potentially
very significant. The average cost savings
between the two types of services are approxi-
mately 20-25% and thus the participants
return on investment is incredible.
Strategic Opportunities
These a la carte services typically have a more
varied need and expense, thus they remain
optional services to allow each practice to
determine their applicability. Additional

PT Management Group of Virginia is an
organized independent practice association
focused on providing scalable pricing struc-
tures for numerous business and clinical
services that are vital in starting, managing
and growing a Physical Therapy practice
within the state of Virginia.
Independent PT practices in Virginia can
join PTMG at any time. There is an initial,
one-time membership fee to join, which is
based upon practice size. This is to ensure
affordability and accessibility for all practices.
PTMG services include the following:
1. Core Services—these services are re-
quired to be obtained via PTMG as they
are utilized by all PT practices.
2. Additional or a la carte Services—these
services are optional because while many
practices may have a need for these ser-
vices, some may not.
