It was ordained by our ancestors that those zealous for the Liberal Arts should seek public proof of their
erudition when they have completed their studies.
Wherefore, since the most distinguished
Laurens Gerardus Wilming,
born on 21 February 1965, has satisfied the University’s statutes, we both began an inquiry concerning
his progress in liberal disciplines and have heard him defending his dissertation, which is entitled
On hira, chromosome 22q11 and CATCH22
with his adjoining theses.
Since he has so excelled in all these matters that he has demonstrated his learning and diligence to us, we
have granted him the proof of the worth which is due him.
Wherefore we have made the aforesaid
Laurens Gerardus Wilming
a Doctor in the customary fashion and have conceded him whatever rights and honors are wont to be
granted to and held by someone lawfully made a Doctor either by law or by longstanding custom.
That the proof of this be more certain, we have seen to it that he be presented with this degree, duly
signed and confirmed by the University’s greater seal.
