Big changes are expected to happen at Miami University’s regional campuses in the near
future but the process may be more organized than one would expect. The task force have
taken their time and have been listening to what students and the various communities have
been saying about the inevitable changes coming to the regional campuses. Miami Hamilton
SGA President, Jaree Naqvi, thinks that the task force has done a great job so far despite the
fact that changes will definitely happen.

Some of the proposed changes are that students may have to completely transfer to
Oxford after taking classes for two straight years at the regional campuses or stay at the
regionals. Naqvi says that he has had to take classes at both campuses but the vast majority of
students will not be affected by this.

Naqvi wants to make students even more aware of the proposed changes that are going
to happen with the regionals. He plans on setting up a booth to find out how students feel
about the possible changes now and wants to speak with them again after the changes are
implemented.
