To whom it may concern
I am a 2nd year student in the BST (HVAC & R) course who will be completed the school
portion April 18th and will proceed to a 5 week unpaid work term that ends at the end of May.
Once I finish the work term I will progress into the work force as an apprentice. I became a
registered Refrigeration and Air Condition apprentice last June when I was hired on with Black
and McDonald for the summer.
I have chosen to pursue a career in the Refrigeration Air Conditioning field because I feel
that it fits in well with my past education and work experiences. I spent 7 years in the Military as
a Hull Technician and became a fully qualified senior technician, which included completing my
3’s, 4’s, 5’s courses; that is equivalent to becoming a journeyman in the trade. I voluntary
released in April 2014 due to family reasons. I am a 32 year old married family man with a 14
month old boy.
My ambition is to become a qualified Journeyman Technician, but I welcome any
opportunity within the company in which I can demonstrate my abilities through hard work and
determination to be a valued employee. If you are looking for a hard worker with a willingness to
learn, a dedicated and trustworthy individual, and a great driving history; I would value a
personal interview to better answer any questions regarding my qualifications.
Thank you for your time
