4. God created man and
woman to reflect His
image and likeness.
And it was God's
purpose to live that
love forever.
5. 8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of
the LORD God as he was walking in the garden
in the cool of the day, and they hid from
the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
9 But the LORD God called to the man, “Where
are you?”
10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden,
and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”
Genesis 3:8-10
6. Separated from the
God of love,
because of
disobedience,
man comes to know
and experience fear.
11. These fears lead us to
dark, cold, humid and
lonely hiding places. It is
there inside our heart,
we are afraid to talk
about them, we hide
these fears and pretend
they do not exist.
12. 6 “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know
how to speak; I am too young.”
Before God's call, he dodges and says: "I have no
skill, I have no ability, I can not speak."
Jeremiah. 1:6
13. Like Jeremiah, we also
hide our fears by not
assuming them. And it's
just those hidden fears
that dominate the soul
and make us who we
really are.
14. Your problem is not
outside of you, with
other people.
Your problem
lies within you,
with you.
15. Sin has taken from us
the sense of God's love
and has put fear in us.
We were transported
from the kingdom of
love into the realm of
fear.

20. 7 WAYS TO ACT WITH LOVE
INSTEAD OF FEAR
HOW TO FEED OUR FEAR HOW WE LEAD WITH LOVE
We sugarcoat the truth. We’re kind, but we don’t hide
from the hard conversations.
We express and create doubt. We try to build confidence, in
ourselves and others.
We act passive-aggressive and
avoid confrontation.
We don’t let things fester, even when
it’s annoying to address them.
We make excuses or cover up
mistakes.
We admit our mistakes and do what’s
necessary to correct and learn from them.
We run away from the
possibility of failing.
We run toward the possibility of succeeding.
We hold grudges and petty grievances.
We hold out for revenge.
We forgive, even if we don’t forget.
We try not to let negativity hold us back.
We settle for less than we deserve. We
avoid risk. We wait for things to pass.
We take action to earn what we want and
overcome our fears. We try to be our best selves.
21. You need a personal,
daily encounter with
God and His love to
overcome fear.
22. 18 “There is no fear in love.
But perfect love (of God) drives out fear…”
I John 4:18

27. Ask God for His love for
you to overcome your
fears and treat your
spouse and children
with respect, affection,
affection, with soft
words and with
admiration.
28. Prayer for Overcoming
FEAR
Loving Heavenly Father, You Holy Name is a strong tower. I
run to You and I am safe. You are my Lord and my God. You
are Emmanuel, God with us. The one Who is in me is
greater than the one who is in the world. I am not afraid.
Lord, I am Your child and I am led by the Holy Spirit. I have
nothing to fear. The Holy Spirit joins with my spirit to
affirm that I am Your child.
Lord, You are in charge and in control of everything. I have
nothing to fear as You are my Abba, Father.
Thank You, Father Lord. Please continue to bless me with
Your peace. And Father, I pray for others who are also in
need of Your mercy and grace in overcoming fears.
Father, I pray in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
