Purpose: For over 20 years, MobileVillage’s purpose is to “own the relationship” with large
corporate buyers and become their trusted agent in the Mobile/Wireless/Portable computing
purchase process. MobileVillage has already become the partner and facilitator for both the buyer
and seller of Information Technology (IT) since MobileVillage removes the often adversarial,
“hard sell” relationship that exists between customers and vendors and becomes the honest broker
of information and opportunity for both parties.
Features of the MobileVillage business model
MobileVillage specializes in the creation and development of new corporate IT buyers in the
wireless, mobile, handheld computing, and Internet appliances market. Through its growing base
of enterprise technology customers, MobileVillage provides timely and detailed information on
how these devices are used in the enterprise, while limiting access to these customers to all but the
most qualified paying vendors. MobileVillage:
• Shares corporate users’ successes, failures and experiences thus eliminating wasted
resources and time and erroneous, misleading information from vendors.
• Provides support to new buyers to insure their success of their purchases and prepare
them for future purchases and effective company-wide installations in the enterprise
regardless of what or from whom they buy.
• Identifies and eliminates many roadblocks to purchase experienced by corporate buyers
& influencers.
• Eliminates the old adversarial relationship between buyers and sellers when
MobileVillage becomes the facilitator/enabler to the process.
• Builds a network of successful corporate users to provide education, support and
networking opportunities for one another.
• Maintains a trackable database of customers, vendors and relevant intelligence that
represents approximately $5 billion in annual corporate buying power. This information
grows in value daily with each entry having a potential value to both existing and potential
partners and licensees.
• Identifies customers and their needs, resulting in pre-qualified potential buyers. Such
customers can generate significant revenues for MobileVillage, as many of them will permit
MobileVillage to provide information about them under controlled disclosure directed by
them to appropriate IT vendors. These IT vendors in turn are willing to pay for pre-qualified
potential buyers which are difficult and expensive to locate.
• Delivers the Mobile News to the Enterprise, providing all of the web’s top mobile tech
news — including business or productivity apps, enterprise mobile software, mobile
developer news, wireless network news, mobile industry news, mobile trends, with insightful
analysis plus the best new smartphones, tablets, hybrid tablet notebooks and laptops!
• Awards the outstanding through the 13th annual (2014-15) Mobile Star Awards program
which is the largest hardware and software awards program of its kind. Both industry
leaders and cutting-edge startups compete on equal footing for mobile software awards,
consumer and enterprise devices awards, success story awards, and visionary awards.
Benefits of MobileVillage business model
• The One-Stop Mobile Source. Our web presence, MobileVillage.com, is the single
source of information, education, training and ongoing support for the corporate purchase,
implementation or sale of mobile/wireless technology. The concept of a community of users
with similar problems all sharing ideas is fundamental to developing markets for emerging
technologies. MobileVillage.com is well positioned at the center of this discussion and acts
to facilitate relationships between buyers, sellers and media.
• The Resource-Saver. The resources we provide help users more accurately define their
problem set in less time and at less cost. MobileVillage sets reasonable expectations for
mobility projects and the appropriate usage of mobile technology for both customers and
vendors.
• The "Buyer's Agent". MobileVillage is interested in working with potential customers
early in the purchase process. We become “the buyer’s agent” for mobile solution purchases
and our allegiance is always to the customer and their success.
• The Partner Builder. The strong customer relationships and trust that MobileVillage and
Mobile Expo have developed over the past 5 years significantly increases the cost of entry
for others since it takes many years and significant investment in resources to establish these
relationships. As a result, the threat of significant competition is reduced and the ability to
partner/license/merge with synergistic companies is increased.
• The Loyal Customer Builder. The MobileVillage focus on customer advocacy results in
unmatchable loyalty and support from corporate customers who spend thousands to millions
each. Once customers are introduced to our services, they continue to use them regularly
throughout their careers, regardless of employer. Their loyalty and trust allows us to provide
introductions to select vendors. Most vendors do not want to invest in developing customers.
They prefer to wait until a sale is imminent and then purchase that customer, just in time,
from us.
• The Content Creator. MobileVillage’s customer relationships and dialogue enable the
identification and consolidation of common customer problem sets and possible solutions.
This knowledge allows us to create those education and training courses and events which
are most valuable to customers, identify and help develop emerging solution sets, and
identify future winning solutions.
• The Media’s Partner. MobileVillage greatly reduces its own advertising and promotional
costs through an aggressive program of trading for advertising space, online and in print,
with partner publications in return for providing them with promotional opportunities online
at MobileVillage.com and at MobileExpos events. MobileVillage also supplies content for
columns and article to our media partners as well as assisting them in formulating strategies
for new forums and publications in mobile computing. Many leading publications pickup
our stories.
