Re: John Wesley Smith
To Whom It May Concern,
I have had the privilege of working with John Wesley for three years now and have seen him perform in
multiple roles during our mutual time at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. During that
time, we have gone through multiple stages of a reorganization which eventually resulted in the
Procurement and Contracting Services Division of HHSC. The challenges faced during that transition
have been extraordinary, but they were made much easier with John Wesley’s unerring professionalism,
level-headedness and problem solving skills.
John Wesley is a huge asset during high risk situations. He remains calm when everyone else’s stress
levels are rising, calmly explains the issues at hand once he’s collected the needed information,
summarizes them and proposes pragmatic and intelligent solutions. Once the solution is identified, John
Wesley pitches in and does his part with dedication and alacrity.
If you are considering working with John Wesley, I would say you’re privileged to have him interested in
your organization. Having him on your team will be an enormous advantage to you.
