HISTORY
Founded in 2011 started trading in 2012
After more than 35 years in the Water and Wastewater management field (both treatment and reticulation) with
Dept of Water Affairs, Municipal and the private sector, John Young joined training provider firms to polish his
training ability. John then completed his Assessor (NQF 5) and Moderator (NQF 6) accreditation.
John then founded a training company, WCEM Projects and Training cc, to pass his expertise and experience to
the qualified youth in order that they are able to provide the clean, healthy safe potable water and the safe
handling of Wastewater that South African citizens require and deserve.
WCEM Projects and Training cc has partnered with a well known and top training provider, With this
partnership WCEM Projects and Training operates under license and uses the proven training material and
EWSETA accreditation.
WCEM Projects and Training cc is in the position to offer Skills Development Programs for accreditation on
the NQF levels 2 through 5. in all fields of Water and Wastewater Treatment or Reticulation, including Meter
Readers, and Water Loss Management and basic Plumbing.
WCEM Projects and Training cc has sub-contracted facilitators, who are subject matter experts, as and when
required.
WCEM Projects and Training cc has a MoU with National Leak Detection Network to offer a comprehensive
Water Loss Management service to the client.
WCEM Projects and Training cc is in the advantageous position where they can assist Municipalities, Water
Boards, Government and the private sector with their training and accreditation of Process Controllers, Water-
servicemen, Technicians, Electricians and Engineers, and assist with the Blue Drop / Green Drop Accreditation,
Water Loss Management, Leak Detection, Pipe Line Tracing, Meter supply and replacement.
TRAINING EXPERIENCE
John has in excess of 15 years training experience, in the water management field. This includes Municipal,
Water Board and The unemployed (Office of the premier learnerships.)
John has facilitated outside the borders of South Africa.
