Dos and Dont’s for Sports

Dos for sports
                 Warm up and stretch
             •   Play the game by the rules – Play fair and safe!
             •   Wear appropriate clothing and sports shoes
             •   Modify sports to make them safer - adapt rules or equipment to suit age and
                 level of players
             •   Stay in the area where you are supposed to be.
             •   Improved fitness and skills prevents injury
             •   A trained and well equipped First Aider should be present at the game
             •   Always listen to the teacher’s instructions at all times
             •   Encourage sportsmanship

Don’ts for Sports
                         Do not wear watches or jewelry when doing a sport activity as it may
                         distract you or hurt your friend

                         Injuries are more likely to happen when you are tired. Don’t play if you are
                         very tired or feeling unwell and you should approach a teacher immediately

                         Do not try to win by pushing your friend down etc.

                         Do not dehydrate yourself

                         Do not start with high-intensity exercise.
