1. I’m Not The OnlyOne – The Script
In our firstscene,we are goingto have Michael andSophie havingfun(hugging,cuddling,laughing
etc.) we will use some effectstomake thislooklike itisinthe past AKA oldtime movies.Thiswill
quicklychange to the presentday,locatedintheirhouse where Michael will quicklyrushinholding
Sophie’sphone andhe will begintoverballyattackherasshe pleadstobe innocent,tearscoming
out of Sophie’seye,she will tryandkissandseduce Michael tomake him forget,Michael refuses
Sophie’sadvancesandbeginsamore violentoutburstuntil acraningshoteventuallyrevealsMichael
holdingSophie frombehindwhiletheyslowlymove aroundeachotherbodies,Sophierushesout
the door leavingMichael torunto hisliquorcabinetandbegindrinkingandbreakingthings.
Nowit cuts tothe performer(Joe Clark) singing,all he will have todoissingintothe microphone
and be expressive,will have towearsmartclothes(maybe evenasuit).
NowSophie isshowntravellingtoherlovershouse (the boyshe ischeatingonMichael with).We
will have plentyof jumpingshotsof herinthe car, one of herlookingdownandherhair coveringher
face,anotherhercrying andwipingawaythe tears,and lastlyhertryingto getherself togetheras
herride nearlyends. We will thenhave anextreme close uponSophie’seye(itbeingfilledwith
tearsand sadness),thenthe camerawill cutto Michael’sangryeye,andwill show himstill getting
drunkand havinga cigarette outside.
Michael thenhas to shutthe door and go inside,the camerawill thenhave closeupsonstuff he
starts to smasharoundthe house (glassbottles,photosof herorboth of them).The camera then
will have anextreme close up onthe picture thatis brokenonthe floor,itwill zoomintoMichael’s
trousersinthe photowhichwill thenzoomoutof our performer(Joe Clark’s) ones.
Joe will thensing,withitmostlybeingzoomedinonhisface,doingasbefore.The nextpartwill
showSophie’svehicledrivinguptoa park,and we will show Sophie cryingandlookingsadona park
benchalone,andwe will zoomintohereyesfilledwithtears.We willthenshow the loverof Sophie
(AdrianDavies) walkinguptoher,andher seeinghimandsmilingandwipingher tearsaway.
Sophie hugsAdrianandtheykissandcuddle etc.but at the same time Michael isat home packing
and at the same time rippinganddestroyingSophie’sclothes.Mike thenripsherfavouritetopand
throwsit at the cameras viewturningitblack. The camerawill thenzoomoutand itwill be from
Sophie’sblackdressandthe locationisasbefore (ina parkwithher loverAdrian).Itwill quicklycut
to the performersingingasbefore butwithmuchmore expressionandmeaninginthe lyricshe will
performas thisisthe last time he isseeninthe video.
Thenwe see Sophie cominghome feelinghappyandcalmeddown(thinkingMichael doesn’tknowa
thing).Asshe Walkstowardsthe door itcuts to earlierwhenMike isPackedandlookingathis
suitcase,thencuttingtoSophie openingthe door,andagaincuttingback to Mike whilstlookingsad
writingSophie anote.We thensee Sophie lookingtowardsthe camerawithshockanddisbelief,
thenshe walkstowardsthe note Mike wrote to her,Sophie will then dropitandthe lastshot whilst
Sam Smithsings‘IknowI’mnot the onlyone’isSophie droppingthe note anditbeingonthe floor
and the audience readitsayingIknowI’m notthe onlyone.
