1. Give employees “time off” to volunteer for their favorite cause.
2. Appoint an employee to do nothing but acknowledge other staff
for the day.
3. Give certificates employees can redeem for a “some- thing of
their choice” (a day off, extra coaching, extra lunch break, shift
preference).
4. Give employees a day to job shadow any job they choose.
5. Create plaques with funny sayings on them.
6. Create “Service Pride Awards” that specifically acknowledge
employees for going the extra mile for the team good.
7. Profile a staff member in an article.
8. Have employees write an article about their accomplishment and
how they achieved it, then publish it.
9. Have managers “valet park” employees’ cars.
10. Give employees a day to visit another department and report
back to their co-workers about the experience.

with the money.
