Experience
Overview
Drafting & Design experience utilizing manual board work, Microstation, PDS/Frameworks,
Inventor 3D modeling versions 2015, AutoCAD versions 10 through 2015 Mechanical w/
CADworx to Design, detailed drawings, 3D models, installation manuals and instructions. Other
software included Microsoft Word and Excel. Primary responsibilities and duties include preparing
preliminary design and scaled layouts from sketches, specifications and other engineering reference
data. Check dimensions, allowances, clearances and other technical aspects of designs. Prepare
detailed customer and shop drawings, showing dimensions, tolerances, bill of materials and all other
related information, including altering drawings to suit engineering and customer changes.
Work closely with engineering or research and development to resolve technical problems, analyze
design concepts as to feasibility of manufacturing and cost. Perform investigative and reference work
pertinent to the development of new and existing designs. Provide technical assistance and
information for construction of new products or to solve shop problems.
Additional
Experience
In addition to drafting and design responsibilities I held the position of Plant Superintendent while
at Shell and Tube, Inc. While in the position I managed two shifts of three departments which
consisted of approximately 60 employees. One of the major accomplishments while holding this
position was reducing weld repairs and repeat x-ray testing costs by 25%. I also implemented
training procedures to cross train workers in different departments which benefited the employee
as well as the company.
