The CharterShield School Benefits Trust program has grown steadily since launching in 2015, now providing benefits to multiple member schools at reduced rates. The program has saved member schools over $635,000 in annual medical premium costs, around 17.4% in savings. Additional no-cost benefits included wellness programs and online administration tools, adding over $41,000 in value for members.

Developed in partnership with the Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC), the CharterShield School
Benefits Trust, administered by Barney & Barney, is an exclusive program for member schools and was
designed to entice the best and brightest education institutions with a robust benefits offering.
The program has grown steadily since its launch in spring of 2015, adding member companies regularly and
providing better rates for more eligible employees.
