OUR MISSION
Defender Outdoors is bringing a new level of customer service and fair pricing to the shooting
facility, retail and tactical industry. Too often we see people buying what they are sold, not
what they need. Our knowledgeable staff will be able to talk you thru any item in our retail
space, set you up on lane for practice or help you with your private or corporate event.
Our facility will offer rifle and pistol lanes as well as training classes (both on the range and
off), continued education, an indoor simunition house, gunsmithing services, members lounges
with TV’s for sports and news, a personal event coordinator, casual and upscale catering, and
concierge service that will literally be second to none.
Whether you are a hunter, military personnel, outdoorsman, female shooter, law enforcement
officer or firearms enthusiast, our goal is to earn your business with low prices and exceptional
service. Being part of the Defender Family means we will treat your and yours like our own.

MEET THE TEAM
We are building a new house. And our house is your house. The place where you can socialize,
learn, shoot and shop safely and without judgment. While we’re throwing shingles on the roof
and putting up the drapes, we want to introduce you to your new family. The Defender Family.

WILL JAMES
PRESIDENT & FIREARMS EXPERT

A Fort Worth native, Will serves as President and resident gun expert of
Defender Outdoors. If you want to talk guns, calibers, scopes, and really
anything requiring an acronym, he’s your guy. His background after graduating
college from the University of Oklahoma consists of Industrial Brokerage, Private
Equity, Oil & Gas as well as firearms.
Will earned a spot on the 2011 Fort Worth Business Press “40 under 40” list and
is also a graduate of the Leadership Fort Worth Leading Edge program. The guy
knows his stuff, and we’re glad he decided to come over to the cooler, more fun
side of the business world.

MATT JOHNSON
CO-OWNER

Matt is a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and a Texas Christian University
graduate.
He is co-owner of Defender Supply, a nationwide builder and seller of police
vehicles, parts and tactical gear that has extended into a place for civilians to
buy all the cool stuff for their own shooting needs. So what was the natural
progression? A firearms retailer and shooting range! And so Defender Outdoors
was born.
Matt isn’t short on philanthropy either. He sits on several boards across Fort
Worth including Trinity Bank, All Saints Episcopal School, Fort Worth
Sportsman's Club, Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate and the Buckets and Boots
organization. Matt is well-known and respected across the community and state
and we like him a lot too, so we’ll probably keep him around for a while.

JERAH HUTCHINS
MEMBERSHIP & EVENTS DIRECTOR

Jerah Hutchins is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and boasts 15
years of hospitality experience. She has loved the smell of gunpowder just as
much as the next Texas woman since she shot her first deer with her
grandfather at age 12.
She is passionate about the empowerment of the family core (especially
women), this great country, and the necessity of having a plan for every
situation-before you need to use it. Jerah enjoys being able to serve the public
at Defender Outdoors, where providing a safe place for our members to explore,
learn, train, and discover is the driving force of the business. Jerah will provide
you such a positive experience you'll be sure to return to Defender Outdoors for
all of your firearm needs.

RETAIL SPACE
Our Retail Space will be 6,000 square feet of gun lovers paradise that
will encompass nearly every firearm you can think of. We’ll have used
firearms, Class 3 NFA products, hunting, survival & tactical gear,
apparel, flashlights, knives, holsters, optics, etc.
We will offer a good, better, and best in nearly every category to fit all
budgets. Defender Outdoors will have a tremendous range program,
allowing you try almost any firearm before you buy it. Our gunsmith
will offer custom Kydex holsters, custom Damascus knives as well as
custom AR & 1911 builds.
We have amazing relationships with many gun manufactures so Demo
Days will be plenty.

SIM HOUSE
The Simunition Shoot House will be a 4,000 square foot, 17 foot clear open
expanse with a modular wall system that can be reorganized and customized to
your tactical practice needs.
It can be used in a training scenario, home defense scenario or we can set it up
as a beginner range for those who have never handled a gun before to allow
them to learn with non-lethal ammo.
Night vision can also be used in the Sim House and you can run
scenarios in the dark with a carbine and secondary weapons
system against reactive targets.
The reactive targets will have sensors in the chest cavities and
you can be scored on both time and accuracy.

TRAINING CLASSES
Defender Outdoors will offer both in-house and out of house training
groups to keep your shooting skills spot on. We’ll offer classes like
CHL, Beginner Pistol, Tactical Pistol Advanced Pistol, Advanced CHL,
Practical Application Defense, 3 Gun, Reloading Classes & Advanced
Armorment.
We haven’t forgot about self defense either…we’ll be bringing in some
of the best experts there are to teach you self defense, hand to hand
combat, and situational awareness.
We’ll also keep you up to date with seminars & workshops on the latest
laws regarding your right to carry. Our gunsmith wants to get to know
you, too, so be looking for some AR building and gun cleaning classes,

to Fort Worth. Our gunsmith staff has the skill, knowledge and
experience to complete all of your firearm repair, maintenance,
cleaning and customization needs.

MEMBERS LOUNGE &
CATERING
If you like to shoot, chances are you also like to eat. Why not do it all
in one place?
Our amazing catering kitchen will be crankin’ out anything from street
tacos and rice to steak and baked potatoes. Having an event? We have
awesome relationships with Fort Worth’s best chefs and can cater in
almost any kind of meal.
If you need a break from shooting, feel free to kick back in our
members lounge to grab a bite, a beverage, and maybe a conversation
with another member.
We’ll have plenty of TV’s, so Defender will also be the most awesome
place to catch the big game-and pop off some rounds at halftime.

EVENTS
This is YOUR place. So, we want to have events that YOU want. The Events Calendar
at Defender will be very active: everything from Poker Tournaments, Shooting
Competitions, Gun Demo’s, and Training Classes can be found with us.
Need to have a private event? Done. Corporate Presentation? No problem. We’ll have
all the AV equipment you need as well as complimentary Wi-Fi. We’ll also open up our
retail space early just for Elite Members when we get fun new toys shipped in so you
can be the first to get your hands on the latest and greatest. We’ve even
got you on date night and will help with child care!
If you have your own event idea, chances are we can make it
happen. If custom guns are part of our business, so are custom
events!

VIP LOUNGE
Our Elite Level Members will enjoy their own private 6 lane VIP shooting area
attached to a 730 square foot lounge for entertaining friends & family, as well
as clients & customers.
Need to have a board meeting? We have you covered with our 175 square
foot conference room with complimentary Wi-Fi access and media package for
all your presentation needs.
If you want to pop off some rounds after your meeting, just
call our on the spot concierge service. We’ll valet your guns,
get you set up with ammo and reserve day lockers for you.
Defender Outdoors is literally where class meets brass.
