1. AFTERNOON TEA SERIES
Everyday, we meet inspiring female leaders in Jordan
where women are now more educated than ever.
Jordan, however, is seeing less women transitioning into
the workforce.
Whereas Jordan ranks 51st in educational attainment,
The World Economic Forum 2017 Global Gender Gap
Report has placed the country 135th out of 142 countries
in economic participation and opportunity (WEF).

VOLUME 1
1. Challenges faced by women in our ecosystem were
universal in nature and not unique to MENA.
2. Stakeholders recognise the challenges, and are leading
with bold initiatives, but efforts remain disjointed with
most working in silos.
3. Those women who benefited from strong role models
and mentors showed a higher likelihood to succeed,
highlighting the need for more leaders to give their
time to help others grow.
4. Networks and communities are a powerful medium
to exchange experiences and empower one another,
and the more casual and intimate the better.
5. Confidence was the most frequently cited challenge.
