• Conducted research for various Cato scholars regarding international economic development. Topics included international trade,
Latin American public policy, and economic indicators of development. Heavy analytical/spreadsheet work.
• Helped create and input data for humanprogress.org, a Cato website, and developed the 2.0 version of said site.
• Participated in a series of seminars on diverse topics ranging from American political thought to monetary policy.

THE FUND FOR AMERICAN STUDIES, Engalitcheff Institute Participant and Scholar, Washington, D.C. Jun-Jul 2014
• The oldest TFAS program, the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative and Political Economic Systems (ICPES) was established in
1970 and is intended for students interested in careers in government, public policy, and academia. This program offers students a
thorough examination of the American political tradition and market economics through comparative study.
• Selected along with 89 other students from around the world to take part in the 2014 ICPES program.
• Interned in Washington D.C., took classes at George Mason University, and participated in site briefing at key Washington
institutions, guest lectures featuring policy experts, and networking events.
• Currently an active alumni and ambassador for The Fund for American Studies (TFAS).
• 2014 TFAS Freedom Scholar. Every year, TFAS brings together a group of young alumni known as the Freedom Scholars for a
weekend of continuing education and networking opportunities. This group is by invitation only and is made up of 15-20 of the
top students from the last program year. This year’s Freedom Scholars weekend will take place in D.C. in February of 2015. I will
participate in a Curriculum of Liberty Seminar entitled “Liberty and Equality,” co-sponsored by TFAS and Liberty Fund, Inc.
TCU HONORS CABINET, Class of 2015 Representative Aug 2011-Present
• Selected as an Honors representative to act as a liaison between more than 800 Honors students and 12 faculty members.
• Plan, execute, and oversee campus-wide and community events for John V. Roach Honors College, including Honors Week,
Convocation, an annual student-faculty volleyball tournament and Honors student field trips.
• Assisted in establishing TEDXTCU, an annual event that combines videos and live speakers with the goal of sparking deep
discussion on an engaging topic and connecting participants in a small group setting of about 200 attendees.
• Coordinator of Big Questions, a monthly discussion-based event that requires much coordination, planning and creativity.

• Participant of a highly selective four-year leadership development program created by the Chancellor and guided by the Social
Change Model of Leadership Development that involves weekly cohort meetings, personal assessments, leadership
seminars/workshops, team building, community service, and a senior legacy project.
TCU YOUNG AMERICANS FOR FREEDOM, President, Co-Founder Aug 2012-Present
• Host prominent speakers and activism events on campus to encourage students to be more politically informed and active.
• Attend conferences across the U.S. through Young America’s Foundation to learn more about conservative issues and how to
better educate students about these issues.
• Certified “Top Conservative Student Activist” and member of YAF Club 100.
• Organized and carried out two big name speaker events (Bay Buchanan and John Stossel) for students/community members that
each had over 100 in attendance. The event included organizing transportation/logistics, dinner, speech, and a reception, and
required weeks of planning and coordination.

• Educate and mobilize students on global issues of extreme poverty and preventable disease through activism events on campus.
• Attend various lectures and seminars on policy-making, lobbying, and global poverty issues and collaborate with other students,
leaders, and activists to share, educate and mobilize in the fight against poverty.
