Medical Center Student, Department of Immuno-Oncology, City of Hope (Jan 2023 - Present)
• Conducted protocol management for an assigned set of multiple research protocols to assure efficiency
and compliance.
• Performed multiplex immunohistochemistry to illustrate discrete components in breast cancer liver
metastasis tissues to better understand the local tumor microenvironment.
• Operated quantitative pathology imaging and machine-learning enabled bioimaging analysis software
to visualize the high resolution allocation and localization of specific cellular components and build
correlatives between the tumor microenvironment and clinical outcome.
• Presented findings on regular basis and collaborated with leading immuno-oncologists,
biostatisticians, and translational scientists in a cross functional team environment.
Graduate Student Consultant, Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope (2016 – 2017)
• Assessed strength of City of Hope’s IP by performing prior art search, patent search, patent analysis,
and literature review for a novel small molecule under claim.
• Tracked progress of patent prosecution by recording patent filing decisions, monitoring critical
correspondence with USPTO, and compiling report for institutional review.
• Attended two physician board conferences, interviewed KOLs, and formulated surveys to better
understand patient unmet needs and size US patient population for FDA Orphan Drug Designation.
• Conducted over 21+ interviews of academics, regulatory, and industry professionals in the space
regarding main challenges with complications in bariatric surgery and a small molecule alternative.
• Developed and refined a 10-item survey utilizing Likert scaling to collect quantitative data on
qualitative reasons for contraindications to bariatric surgery.
• Analyzed the competitor drug pipeline, identified recent acquisitions within the therapeutic space, and
performed market-sizing analyses.
• Identified and maintained a database of companies potentially interested in City of Hope technologies.
• Compiled and presented findings on quarterly basis for committee review to stakeholders including
members of the Beckman Research Institute, Office of Technology Licensing, and Office of
Investigational New Drug Development & Regulatory Affairs.

2. Editor-In-Chief, The PPC Journal, Keck Graduate Institute (2015 – 2016)
•Served as editor-in-chief of The PPC Journal (peer-authored campus publication)
for Volume 6 entitled: Taking the Pulse on United States Healthcare Policy in 2016.
•Responsible for approving yearly budget for final printing, production of journal, and
subsequent physical distribution on campus.
