Accomplishments
• Project leader for a 3.8 million dollar plant expansion in 2008. This 10K square foot expansion
included 7K square feet of new warehousing and a 3K square foot solvent based paint manufacturing
facility. This space is a class 1 Division II Group D, NFPA rated space. All process equipment and
product handling systems conform to the stringent state and federal EPA and OSHA regulations.

2. • Working with mechanical engineers, designed a fully automated high speed paint pen filling line. The
installation and start up of this system reduced final product cost and improved margin by 20% on this
product family.
• Launched a business transformation plan in early 2008 focusing on “Investing in Excellence”. The
three main categories included Safety, Technology and Capital Facility Upgrades. This plan was the
spring board into a truly transformational year for the organization. All programs listed will continue to
pay great dividends for years to come.

• Energy cost savings over 4 years. Developed and championed the automation of HVAC and plant air
handling systems. Instituted strict PM procedures to ensure all systems were in top working order.
Programmed facility lighting and temperature control to all areas for most efficient operation.

2008 Target Result 2007 results
• Through process redesign and process flow enhancement, reduced labor cost by over $600K
annually. Through proper leadership, coaching and mentoring of the work force, drove efficiency to
organizational records.
