Some say the only certainties in life are death and taxes. We face uncertainty in the world every day: how clients will react to budget constraints and deadlines, how employees will deliver the end product, and where the next contract is coming from are uncertainties I regularly face. It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose, because there is always uncertainty. As a business leader, I have learned that controlling how uncertainty is handled can lead to success. In this talk, I will discuss how honesty and transparency, as well as motivating and inspiring team members can help reduce uncertainty in the business world. Elevator pitch Going into a project, often time there is fear, trepidation and uncertainty. This can be attributed to new relationships, new requirements, different project stakeholders or even new criteria to determine success for the project. Without a leader who knows how handle these paradigms, a project can fail. This session will talk about uncertainty, how to identify it, and tools that can help push projects through uncertainty.
