continuous film program in the country, the Film &
Video Program offers a broad range of fundamental
technical and critical studies courses in the art and
craft of fiction and documentaryproduction.

The minor in journalism teaches the values,
traditions,and skills to practice this discipline in a
dynamic,fast-changing media landscape.Students
gain hands-on experience as reporters,editors,and
photographers for CCNY’s award-winning newspaper,
The Campus,and state-of-the-artradio station,
WHCR.

The minor in Cinema Studies offers an overview of
the art, history, theory, and cultural significance of
film.Two required MCA courses provide foundational
knowledge as students tailor their minor from among
a listof approved offerings,such as French Cinema &
Literature and Theater in Film.
