RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
University of Vermont Burlington, VT
SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT Fall 2015 – Spring 2015
Design and fabricate golf club using SolidWorks
Analyze airflow over the top and bottom of golf club to improve overall aerodynamics and performance
Learn and execute the engineering design process that includes research, design for manufacturability,
assembly, prototyping, create test plans, test, and result documentation
Work and communicate closely with design team to achieve final goals
University of Vermont Burlington, VT
MATERIALS AND MECHANICS LAB Spring 2015
Conducted tensile testing of heated, quenched, and tempered 4130 steel alloy and compared its
properties to 6061 aluminum. Properties include yield strength, ultimate stress, maximum of failure
stress, percent elongation and modulus of resilience
Piloted fracture toughness testing of two engineered polymers, including high-density polyethylene and
nylon 6.6 and analyzed if was under a ductile or brittle fracture
Examined principal stresses in a thin walled cylinder subjected to an internal pressure in opened and
closed configurations
University of Vermont Burlington, VT
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PROJECT Spring 2014
Wrote code in Arduino using C/C++ that allowed a robot that was specially designed by our project
group to navigate and push colored blocks out of an arena in a specific order
Integrated electrical and mechanical systems
Gained a hands on experience with electrical circuits, bread boards, microcomputer boards, temperature
sensors, servomotors, LED’s, ultrasonic sensors, stepper motors, and mini voltmeters
