Jason W. Bowden
Software Engineer
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Mr. Bowden has just over a year of experience working at a commercial level. In that time Mr. Bowden
has learned the native iOS language of Objective-C and how to create and implement time saving unit
tests in both Objective-C and C#. Mr. Bowden has worked on many diverse and challenging technical
projects in the software realm including research, design, development and testing. These projects have
allowed him the opportunity to interface with clients and (from a software standpoint) how to implement
more efficient design patterns.
PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Project Name and Location: Control Panel, Iteris, Inc., Idaho
Project Role: Mr. Bowden was tasked with the design and creation of the new Control Panel that Iteris
uses to manage their cview plus windows service. This windows service handles all of the downloading,
uploading, converting from flat-file to XML, and importing of state and federal files. The service itself is
configured in the Control Panel (i.e. file download locations, file upload locations, which protocols to use
when transferring these files, how long to store the files in an archive location, email addresses to send
error logs to, which file transaction sets to download, etc.)
Project Name and Location: KTrips, Kansas
Project Role: Mr. Bowden created the Interface for Kansas Cview users to query both truck and escort
permits. This interface shows all permits related to the search parameters, allows certain users to
revoke permits (ability to revoke is handled by their administrators), and shows a printable pdf of a
permit.
Project Name and Location: Maine Cview Suspension, Maine
Project Role: Mr. Bowden designed and implemented a solution for Maine to suspend/un-suspend
carriers and enable toll flags from their own query windows.
Project Name and Location: UCR-Link Software – Idaho Falls, ID
Project Role: Mr. Bowden altered Mr. Cody Marshalls UCR-Link standalone service and custom
database in order to take advantage of the new asynchronous web services provided by SAFER. The
server side application now manages the UCR uploads asynchronously and handles downloads, error
logging, report scheduling, record archiving, creating UCR updates and Baselines the same way it
always has.
Project Name: inSPECT windows application
Project Role: Mr. Bowden worked closely with Jordan Hayashi(The engineer who created inSPECT)
to add searching capabilities, better reporting functionality, inspection numbering pools, and with the
migration to our newer and more efficient Service Stack web services. He also added the ability to query
the Iteris web services for inSPECT administrators to query inspection reports for any inSPECT users
and to export the report to excel or view a specific inspection in a pdf format. This report also allows
officers to view their own past inspections.
Project Name: inSPECT iOS application
Project Role: Mr. Bowden Designed and implemented an iOS version of inSPECT. This application
allows an officer to conduct a vehicle inspection with an iPad. Allowing for a quicker way to take notes,
add violations, add vehicle and brake information, take and eventually upload photos, and every other
aspect of inspection software in tablet form.
