I am writing in reference to Jameson Foran who was a student in my AP Language and Composition class.
Jameson is an extremely talented student. In the classroom, he regularly demonstrates the ability to interact with
complicated, college-level texts on the higher levels of Bloom’s taxonomy. He is a critical and creative reader
of literature, which are skills that will greatly benefit him on a college campus. He is an exceptionally talented
writer, demonstrating the ability to write rhetorical and analytical papers of great length, that are both clear and
focused. I have no doubt that his writing skills will allow him to succeed in the college classroom. He is an asset
during class discussions, offering contributions that are both measured and insightful. There is no doubt that
Jameson has the academic abilities to thrive in academia.
Jameson is also an outstanding young man. As gifted as he is, he is more than willing to accept constructive
criticism. He demonstrates a genuine desire to improve as a student; a trait that will surely benefit him at the
next level. He brings great energy to the classroom and is well-respected by both his peers and the faculty. I
have no doubt that Jameson will succeed in any venture he chooses to undertake and will be a wonderful asset
to any academic community.
