This letter is my personal recommendation for James Council. I worked for James
for over 5 years as a Mechanical Draftsman and Coordinator. I first met James
during his field visit to a job I was on. I was very impressed with his knowledge and
skills using AutoCad, and his depth of knowledge and experience of the piping trades
and general construction.
As Coordination Manager for John J. Kirlin LLC, James organized the Coordination
Department and wrote the manual for the Corporate Coordination process and
structure. This manual not only provided a guideline and standards for all
draftsmen, but for all field foremen as well. James supervised the growth of the
coordination department as it expanded to a department with 4 offices in the South
Florida area.
He worked closely with mechanical and plumbing field foremen, project managers as
well as the general contractor, architects and engineers, to facilitate timely and
accurate coordinated drawings for the MEP trades. James played an important role
in the growth of John J. Kirlin and is well respected by the foreman and project
managers he has worked with.
James has excellent communication, organization and management skills. He can be
relied upon to be a team player as well as an independent worker. I found him to be
an excellent teacher and a great boss.
