I am a research associate at the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence at the University of York. I work on bio-based products and standards relating to bio-based products for the European Commision (http://www.biobasedeconomy.eu).
My interest in green chemistry began when I worked for a recycling company as a student, collecting waste oils to make bio-diesel (company website http://www.wyecycle.org). While completing my chemistry degree at Durham University I worked for GlaxoSmithKline where I helped develop and promote tools for green solvent selection.
