2. This chapter tells that after Bengal partition the real
awakening took place.
The people of Bengal reasoned with Lord Curzon, but he took
it for granted that Indians could only prattle.
Many people were ready to resist the Partition.
Many leading Bengalis were ready to lose their all. They knew
their power; hence the conflagration.
3. Gandhi tells that , The seed is never seen. It works underneath
the ground, is itself destroyed, and the tree which rises above
the ground is alone seen.
The Partition will go, Bengal will be reunited, but the rift(the
space between the masses) in the English barque(ship) will
remain; it must daily widen.
Nations are not formed in a day;the formation requires years.
Our leaders are divided into two parties: the Moderates and
the Extremists.
4. The partition left a significant impact on the people of Bengal
as well as the political scene of the Indian Subcontinent.
After the annulment of the partition, the people of East Bengal
were immersed into disappointment and anger.
