1. What are we? A Pragmatic answer.
We are computers equipped with own free will. This type of computer is called "human being".
In other words, the human beings are living computers. This view of human beings is not new,
but almost anybody pay attention to it because this could generate a great dilemma. Before
saying what this dilemma is, here are the main characteristics of human computers.
We are computers endowed with thinking capability instead of computing. The thinking
capability involves awareness, autonomy and feelings. Although the thinking capability is more
powerful than computing capability, both of them are complementary, because computing
capability is the basis of thinking capability. This happens because the thinking capability
requires dealing with numbers. It is very hard to realize this because the human being is a highly
sophisticated computer. In other words, thinking capability is evidence that we are computers,
because it is an evolution of computing capability.
Our body is a kind of hardware (equipment) whose software (program) can perform metabolic,
mental and motor functions. The brain is the main part of this set, because it is a processor, a
memory, a hard disk and programs simultaneously. Members are accessories to: walk, jump,
catch, modeling, shooting, smooth, stroking, pushing, pulling, kicking, punching, hanging, etc.
The sensory and genitals organs are communication accessories. The body remaining parts
serve only to connect the brain to its accessories, feed every mechanism, and to encapsulate its
modules. In other words, our body structure also proves that we are computers.
Everybody is a computer capable of process information and matter simultaneously. The
processing inputs (information/matter) can be taken up by the sensory organs, and even by the
genitals. The processing outputs can be performed by the members, the genitals and some
sensory organs. In other words, the human body's functioning is further evidence that everyone
is a computer.
The DNA is also important evidence that all we are computers, for all we are and going to be
depends on it. It is our main program. However, it takes place in our whole body. This fact
demonstrates that our whole body acts as a computer. However, this peculiarity does not
prevent we are computers. It only demonstrates that we are very special computers.
We work interconnected through networks, just like computers. The survival of our species
depends on a vast natural network, in which everything is complementary. Social networks are
also critical to our survival, for humanity can survive only by working together. Social networks
have always existed, even before the advent of computers and internet network. In other words,
the human networking is great evidence that we are computers.
The acceptance that the human being is the most of all powerful computers generates the
following dilemma: We have to choose between the view of the creator that we already have
and another entirely different. This happens because "like father, like son" vice versa it is true
either. Doing this is very hard. However, it is not possible make an omelet without breaking
eggs. If you enjoy meeting new points of view, also read the article: "An Amazing View of the
Universe." In it you will discover why the universe can generate biological computers and
where to find the details about this event. Remember: the best way to evolve ourselves is
keeping an open mind to new possibilities.
