or three short and bittersweet
months, Teresa Giudice, her
husband, Joe, and their four
daughters were all living under
oneroof,enjoyinglifeasanormalfamily.
But on March 23, Joe went to prison for
fraud (Teresa served nearly a year for
fraud in 2015) and the reality star quick-
lyhadtoadjusttohernewlife.Now,eight
months since Joe began his 41-month
sentence, things haven’t gotten much
easier. “We email constantly and we
speak on the phone every day,” Teresa
told In Touch’s Jaclyn Roth at the Bklyn
Rocks Fashion Show in November. But,
she admits, “It’s not the same.” Here, the

TG: I’m taking it day by day. I miss him
every second of every day, but you can’t
just hide in a corner — you have to live
yourlife.
Are you able to see him often?
TG:Everyweek.Andwesendcardsand
letters. I send him books, educational
ones on finance and all different kinds
ofthings.
How are the girls adjusting to him
being away?
TG: They don’t like to talk about it too
much, but they are dealing with it the
besttheycan.They’reprettyamazing.
How is Joe doing?
TG: He is doing as good as can be ex-
pected. He is down to 180 pounds and
helooksreallygood.
Wow — what is he doing to lose
weight?
TG: Running, burpees, everything. He
isdoingyoga.Hedoesitall.
Let’s talk RHONJ! You and Jacqueline
[Laurita] didn’t end the season on
good terms. Would you ever accept an
apology from her?
TG:I am so done with her. That chapter
isclosed.
But what happens next season, when
you have to film?
TG: I don’t know, maybe the other girls
could film with Jacqueline. I really
don’twanttoxicpeoplearoundme.
How are things with you and your
sister-in-law, Melissa [Gorga]?
TG:The show got in the way of our rela-
tionship for a while, but we are back to
howwealwayswerebeforetheshow.
Nice. There’s talk of former castmate
Danielle Staub returning to show.
TG: I have no problem with her coming
back. She never tried to hurt in me in
anymaliciousway.
What are your holiday plans this year?
TG:We’lldoChristmasEvewithMelis-
sa and my brother Joe, and Christmas
Day with Joe’s family. I just want to be
withfamilyandhaveagoodtime! ◼
