The Municipality of Izola established a public agency in 2016 to promote entrepreneurship and develop EU projects to increase efficiency and support local start-ups. The agency's first project is implementing the Strategic project "Facility Point", funded by Interreg V-B ADRION, which aims to facilitate the governance structures of the EUSAIR macro-regional strategy by enhancing the institutional capacities of public administrations and stakeholders. The Facility Point project has a budget of 11.5 million euros, runs from 2016 to 2022, and includes 9 partners from 4 EU and 4 non-EU countries in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
1. Public agency for entrepreneurship promotion and project development of the Municipality of Izola has been
established in 2016 by the Municipality of Izola with the aim of fostering the efficiency of implementation of
EU projects and increase the potential and creation of new local start-ups.
The first project of the agency is the implementation, on behalf of Municipality of Izola, of the Strategic project
“Facility Point” funded by Interreg V-B ADRION. The Facility Point strategic project (FP) aims to facilitate the
EUSAIR governance structures in implementing the EUSAIR macro regional (MR) strategy. Overall objective
of the strategic project is: Facilitate the coordination and implementation of EUSAIR by enhancing the
institutional capacity of public administrations and key stakeholders and by assisting the progress of
implementation of joint priorities.
