2. Oscar Pistorius'
Trial
The famous paralympian has been on trial for the past week.
This is a very big deal for many people as he is a great role
model to many children, with and without disablites. If you did
not know Oscar Pistorius has been charged with the murder
of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp and he could be found
guilty and convicted of the murder. Over the time he has
been on trial more of the truth has got out. For example, it
was said that a week before the shooting of Miss Steenkamp
Oscar Pistorius shot a bullet (by accident) in a restraunt.
However his good friend took the blame. This is another
piece of evidence that has been discovered recentley. We
will be expecting to see Oscar Pistorius locked up for quite a
long time !
3. News Worthy
This news story is deffinetley news worthy as it is a
worldwide news story. It affects many people old and
young. Everybody finds it interesting and it is very different
to what news stories you normally get. What makes this
story so different is that it is a sportsman, somebody
famous who has possibly done something so horrible. Also
looking at Galtung and Ruge's' theory i know that it is news
worthy. They both had an idea of what a news story has to
have to make it worthy. Such as how recent it is, its
meaning to everybody and how suprising it is. Looking at
all of these points they made, Oscar Pistorius' trial
matches all of them. It is happening now, it is extremely
important and also it is very suprising. This is why it is
news worthy.
4. News Website
For my website I want to get across more of the
less serious topics. The website is about sports.
The target audience are teenage boys. The
topic of sports will be entertaining for this target
audience because boys of this age enjoy
sports. I have not chosen a name for this
website, however i will choose it later.
5. My Three Stories
My three stories will be about sports. The reason for this is
that there are not many news websites out there about just
sports. Apart from the obvious ones such as sky sports
news. But I have made this because there are not many
other sports websites to try and be better than sky sports.
The three stories will be about firstly the paralympics, the
recent premier league games and finally the six nations.
All three very different. This will attract many different
people. One being very popular and the others being quite
different as they are not as regular such as the
paralympics.
7. About My Website
I am very happy with my website. It has all of
the aspects of a good website, in my opinion ! I
like the way it is set out, the background is
grass this is linked to sport. The target
audience will enjoy it, the colour is simple and
the sports are intresting and recent. The target
audience will like it for many reasons but for
one the content. It is simple and interesting. I
am happy with this and I think most people will
agree.
