pounds a week is excessive and that losing 1 to 2 pounds
per week is a healthier goal. With rapid weight loss
comes several unhealthy side effects such as:
-Calorie deprivation : In order to lose 4 lbs in one
week, one must have a daily deficit of 2,000 calories.
-gaining the weight back much quicker: With yo-yo
dieting, a person tends to gain back more weight at a
quicker pace while losing less weight at a slower pace.
-Loss of daily necessary nutrients: When cutting
calories, you are providing your body with less of the
necessary nutrients it needs to function on a daily basis.

Both exercise and the recovery phase of exercise
require energy (calories). Without the energy to
supply the recovery phase, your muscles will
begin to shrink and weaken. This will make it
even more difficult to exercise which in turn will
not be very helpful with any weight loss goal.
