This talk will focus on Leveraging Natural Language Processing for augmenting Cardiovascular Care Delivery
Clinician facing applications:
Intelligent EHRs: Integration of these models with EHR can help in summarization of complex patient information for the physicians, generation of smart and intuitive dashboard displays with action items, during each clinic visit. These smart displays can be shared with the patient to facilitate shared decision making and to promote patient buy-in
Summarizing Outside medical records: Navigating new patients records (sometimes 250-500 pages!) to summarize the relevant information can promote time efficiency for physicians.
Deep CAD: integrating these models with CAD applications, can make these applications more interactive and interpretable, by providing output in Natural language format, integrating rationale based on standard clinical guidelines.e.g.: Is the echo indicative of non-compaction CMP?
Efficient Ambient clinical AI applications: to automate the clinic encounter documentation accurately at POC, or providing foreign language translation if needed in a seamless manner.
Medical research: GAI integrated with medical search engines, and National data registries, can provide output with relevant information for addressing clinical question, or to aid in research.
Patient facing applications:
GAI enabled virtual assistants can provide reliable educational content for the patient (shared by their clinical providers), generate intuitive visual displays of their daily progress, and suggest action items to promote health and wellness.
Creative educational content generation for patients at the time of Hospital/post-surgery/post procedure discharge.
Making Clinical trial enrollment and navigation more efficient and smooth, especially for patients who need foreign language interpretation.
Enterprise facing applications:
Chat bots integrated with enterprise web page for more intuitive search output for patients.
Voice enabled virtual assistants for call centers to automate appointment scheduling and proving patients with all relevant appointment navigation information. This will promote operational efficiency and better patient experience.
Knowledge management for hospital employees.
