These four paintings from the early 1950s were created by American artist Jackson Pollock and demonstrate his unique style of drip painting where paint was poured, dripped and splattered onto large canvases placed on the floor rather than being applied with brushes. The paintings Mural, Blue Poles, Convergence and The Deep are considered seminal works that helped establish Pollock's innovative action painting technique which had a significant influence on abstract expressionism.
