2. COLLOQUIUM
We propose a project to decrease the distance between the elderly community,
crea�ng an innova�ve and suitable (for elderly) program. Suitable in the sense it
is based on the exchange of le�ers between two people; and innova�ve because it
gathers together two (elderly) people with common experiences, who didn't have
the chance to meet previously in life. The feature to match the Sender X Recipient
is by their similari�es, such as: hobbies, pains and beliefs in common, in order to
help the elderly who go through difficul�es as situa�ons of loss, loneliness,
automa�c acceptance, making them aware that the life they built was a
worthwhile life and that aging is not a bad thing, but it is a great opportunity to
disseminate their life experiences. We hope to be able to connect and encourage
socializa�on between them, without having to directly use technology such as cell
phones, tablets or computers, something that many experience difficul�es.

The service is designed for the elderly over
60 years.
The Colloquium is a communica�on and
interac�on service for elders people. It is
possible to connect with other elderly
people from experiences and similar
tastes, thus promo�ng the decreased
loneliness in this age group.
In recent years the elders popula�on shows
a significant growth in society. As �me
passes by, it is possible to perceive an
exclusion social and a distance from other
people, especially in the senior age. In this
way, promo�ng integra�on of this group is
essen�al for help in their mental and
psychological health.

The idea is to use the exchange of le�ers since the
target public is already familiar with this system.
Ini�ally, we would send a le�er explaining the
purpose of the service and invi�ng them to be part of
this project. A�er the ini�al presenta�on, we would
collect data about them (life experiences, hobbies,
possible health problems, among others). With the
data in hands, the our company would target the
elderly with greater compa�bility to establish a
rela�onship. A�er fostering a rela�onship with
another elderly, we thought about crea�ng weekly
newsle�ers to always keep them updated and
mo�vated in the project. The content presented in
the “Newspaper” would be specially designed for
this group, according to their tastes and interests.

Colloquium can be considered a conversa�on
between two people or more. Gathering people,
above all with knowledge about a subject, in
which they discuss points of view, opinions about
of a certain theme. Thus, Colloquium was the
name thought for our offered service. A space
where they can exchange experiences, to get
together either physically or by le�er, united by
common interests.
In addi�on to the le�er service in which
we will obtain data and match people to
possible new friends (according to similar
tastes), we will also create weekly content
with specific themes for the public. The
contents will have leisure �ps, for the
home, informa�on for the age group, life
reports, recipes and challenges both in
group and individual, so that they are
always encouraged to do new things and
enjoy life with new friends.

On the side is an example of an
edi�on of the Colloquium
newsle�er. All ar�cles were
designed according to the age
group of the public. The Weekly
Challenge is also suitable for
them to be able to carry out the
ac�vity and keep themselves
ac�ve. The idea is that the
almanac is weekly, bringing
exclusive content to them.
