3. The Men Behind the Wall
Experimental documentary film, July 2017
Final project for Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
A documentary journey through Israel and Palestine,
crossing borders, walls and cultural limits between
and within both. In this experimental film I make
contact with men from the West Bank through dating
websites and apps. Between reality and fantasy, the
film combines documented dating scenes with staged
scenes, landscapes and travelling shots along the
wall.
This is an observation of the occupied territories
through the eyes of an Israeli woman, dealing with
post-internet nationality as well as gender roles and
power relations.
The film expresses a sincere curiosity for seeing what
is behind the other side of the wall - an unknown
land, recognised only from news broadcasts and
newspapers. This project tries to underline a unique
approach to dealing with related subjects, while
emphasising the absurdity of power mechanisms and
stereotypes, and unveiling intimate human moments
on the other side of the wall.

10. Buenos Aires Documentary Installation
Installation, November 2015
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to
Israel with my family when I was three years old.
When I was 28 years old I returned to Buenos
Aires and stayed there for six months, unknowingly
assuming an ambiguous status.
I was in my “homeland”, spoke the local language and
had the nationality, and yet considered a foreigner in
the eyes of local people.
In this seven-channel installation I deconstruct
this experience, using videos shot in Buenos Aires
focusing on the relationship between individuals and
their environment.
The videos were screened in seven televisions, all of
the same size, organised as a filmstrip.
12. Buenos Aires Documentary Installation
Installation, November 2015
I wanted to explore the idea of deconstructing the
traditional narrative, and unfolding it in front of the
viewers, allowing full freedom regarding the viewing
order and duration.
Some of the videos were visual observations focusing
on the movement of individuals within the urban
environment, and others were documentary scenes
of conversations and encounters, dealing with related
issues.
This is a fragment from the video on the second screen
from the left, emphasising the experience of trying to
come in line with the rhythm of the city.

19. Cold Facts
Experimental Film, 2016
An impossible intimate relationship develops between
Inés, the creator of the film, and Belal, a young
Palestinian.
The film is based on autobiographic experiences,
combining fiction and nonfiction. It deals with questions
of identities and personal relationships, the politicisation
of the body and whether it is possible to release the
body from the political identity forced upon it.

22. Midnight
Video art, 2015
This project deals with the notion of guilt in Abrahamic
monotheistic religions and in the Jewish tradition
particularly.
Growing up under Jewish education, we are
conditioned to think of ourselves as sinners as a
consequence of the original sin, while the female body
bears a considerable part of the blame.
This idea culminates on the Day of Atonement, a
highly important day in the Jewish tradition, celebrated
throughout Israel.
Therefore, it inevitably also carries an important
national role, perpetuated through customs, prayers,
poems and songs, such as Master of Forgiveness,
which stands at the centre of this piece.
The deconstruction of this traditional song aims to put
an emphasis on the power relations between men,
women and God.

Incubator Gallery, Jerusalem, Israel

25. Thirty Plus
Trailer for documentary film
A documentary investigation started at the age of 25,
consisting interviews with men I had intimate relations
with.
The film raises questions of personal responsibility
and ownership, power relations between genders,
psychological projection, and the ability to release
ourselves from our part in the role-playing games we
are used to acting in.
It also deals with feminine autoeroticism and its
representation, and whether women can take control
over their bodies and their sexuality, which are typically
represented from a male perspective.

31. Here I was Dumped
Short fiction film, 2012
Comedy featuring leading actors from the film and
television industry in Israel.
Broken-hearted Ravit decides to conduct a guided
tour, tracing her relationship with Meir. She guides a
diverse and colourful group of women through sites
which became milestones of the relationship.
Things get complicated when, during a tour, Ravit
receives a text message from Meir, which drives Ravit
to change the regular course of the tour.
The film deals with the battle of the sexes and the
objectification of the male body by women, who are
usually the objectified ones.
